H.R Giger, Swiss designer, painter, sculptor, illustrator, creator of Alien, died this week. Most famous for dreaming up one of the great celluloid monsters, he also designed some pretty amazing album covers. This is a link to his obituary in The Guardian:

    A truly individual artist. My uncle had the Emerson,Lake and Palmer LP and I used to love looking at the cover as I listened to the album when I was growing up. I personally own Harry’s Koo Koo LP and at the time I thought that was quite a daring cover for her. To think Giger’s father wanted him to be a chemist!
