James Blake Wins 2013 Mercury Music Prize

James Blake Overgrown Cover Art

James Blake has won the Mercury Music Prize for his album Overgrown. I won’t be linking you from here to the awards, the interviews or the newspaper articles because they are frankly tedious. But this is a link to last month’s post on the In Deep Music Archive site. A live concert on KCRW in California.

James Blake is the son of Colosseum singer/guitarist James Litherland. He appeared on the first two Colosseum albums, Those Who Are About To Die Salute You 1968 and Valentyne Suite 1969.

Enjoy a worthy winner.
