I first heard about The Civil Wars after seeing them on Jools Holland’s Later in 2011. This is a clip from that show, (their first song was a startling cover of Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean)! If you are a lover of Americana and bittersweet lyrics with incredibly close harmonies, then this is for you. The blend of their voices is seamless, at times they sound like they are just one voice, magic.
