Death is inevitable, the only thing we can be sure of, clichés abound about the end of our days and we all hope to meet our maker quietly. We could also hope for a lifelong love and when we do finally leave, that we leave if not on the same bus then maybe on one that doesn’t leave too long after. Pete Seeger legendary folk singer, banjo player, activist, environmentalist and musical innovator died on Monday just 6 months after his wife of 70 years. Pete Seeger born in 1919 and Toshi Seeger in 1922 were married in 1943. Pete Seeger referred to his wife as “the brains of the family”. Toshi died at the age of 91 a week after her birthday, Pete was 94 years old.
