Sylvan Esso distract us from their songs with their videos, the interpretive dance and the ironic nerds do nothing to help the interesting hybrid that is their music. I’m sure they are all lovely people – intelligent, compassionate, loving, real people. Still in a visual world, here they are and if you like what you see then happily you will be able to enjoy the album without these redundant distractions.
