Fait Accompli was the first single from Curve’s debut album Doppelgänger released on Anxious Records in 1992. The band consisted of Toni Halliday on vocals and Dean Garcia on guitars with producer Alan Moulder adding his studio skills to the band’s sound. I loved this song and video when it came out and still do.

Previous to this the band released three EP’s that I collected, Blindfold EP, Frozen EP, and Cherry EP, if you ever see them pick them up. Doppelgänger reached No.11 in the British charts and the band went onto make four more studio albums. A stop start career eventually had the band break up and both members form other bands. Halliday sang with The Future Sound Of London and Orbital amongst others. Her latest project Chatelaine was supposed to release a second album this year but if you look at today’s date – they are running out of time.

Strong melodies, evocative lyrics, millions of guitars, chunky beats, great cheek bones, smoke – what’s not to like, they should have been huge. Toni Halliday is married to Alan Moulder.
