The Slow Show are a five piece from Manchester that are finding fame outside of England in Europe as sometimes happens. Even Jimi Hendrix had to come to England to get famous, as did The Walker Brothers and Blondie.
The band’s line up is as follows:
Rob Goodwin (vocals, guitar)
Frederik ‘t Kindt (keyboards)
Joel Byrne-McCullough (lead guitar)
Chris Hough (drums)
James Longden (bass)
Dresden is the first single (I think) from their debut album, White Water released in March 2015.
The band sound American but singer Ron Goodwin’s flat cap gives it all away. There’s something in his voice that reminds me of Tindersticks. His moody, deep vocal and emotional delivery make The Slow Show a band to watch for the future.
