Jack Green was a Scottish guitar player that made four albums, This Is Japan was the final track on his first solo album Humanesque released in 1980. He made a name for himself in Canada where he is mostly remembered. One track on Humanesque featured a guitar solo from Ritchie Blackmore (I Call, No Answer) Green had been a member of Rainbow for three weeks in 1978.
He was also a member of The Pretty Things, appearing on Silk Torpedo (1974) and Savage Eye (1976) as bassist and his varied chameleon like résumé, placed him as the second guitarist in T.Rex in 1973.
An interesting if not sporadic musical history, mostly forgotten, his solo albums sound like he might have had a chance of sustaining a career with his commercial Rock/Pop – but then there was Bryan Adams.
