As I am here in Gdynia in the north of Poland, it seems appropriate to bring your attention to some of the inspired Polish music that you may not have come across before.

Lunatic Soul is the first of four albums from Mariusz Duda, lead vocalist and bassist from Polish Progressive giants Riverside. Duda brilliantly evokes mystery and atmosphere in a record with soft melodic vocals, eclectic instruments and notably, no electric guitars.

In the wake of the sudden and tragic death of Riverside guitarist Piotr Grudzinski earlier this year, Lunatic Soul may become Duda’s primary creative vehicle for the future.
