Music today has been King Crimson’s seventh album Red, a true classic and the last King Crimson album for me. From there on it all changed, seven years passed, and then came the Fripp, Bruford, Levin, Belew version. Belew blew the whole eccentric Englishness of the whole thing away. For me, it was like Bob Seger joining The Smiths, and Jaco Pastorius joining The Jam, haha. I appreciate it with a different brain, but not the same heart.
