Music today has been Wings at the Speed of Sound (1976) which saw Denny Laine/Jimmy McCulloch and Joe English get in on the songwriting and singing action. The album was a big hit with Let ‘Em In and Silly Love Songs becoming successful singles. There’s a mad piano demo of Silly Love Songs on the extended version, and it’s a real lesson in what you write, what it turns into, and how unexpectedly it can ‘crack it’.
