5/1/24 – MARTY’S DAILY ALBUM PICKS

Music of the day has been QueenSheer Heart Attack (1974), their third album. I saw this tour at Liverpool Empire on 1st November 1974, and it was memorable. The odd thing is that when I look back at the dates, it was a week before they released the album. Unless I saw them in November 1975, but I don’t think so. Freddie was strutting across the stage with his half a microphone stand, Brian was wearing that winged white get-up and playing ‘that’ guitar, with Roger and John on the rhythm section and backing vocals. Whenever it was, it was amazing, I was 16 or 17.
